In the midst of all the trash getting heaped on us and the wailing and gnashing of teeth, I came across this chart and was more than a little bit pleased. (Sorry to whoever tweeted it originally, I lost it in the process of my day).

First thing I did was check out our guys. Hughes was as expected, above average against more or less an average level of competition. Green didn’t do very well, but Okoronkwo absolutely killed it. The most impressive thing though was that the two guys who were far and away the best EDGE rushers this year got flat erased by Laremy Tunsil.

I know the hype fuel for my man is laced with uranium in fantasy circles already, but, one thing that doesn’t get talked about enough is that in addition to being an insane runner, he blocks very, very well. I’m actually shocked that no one is talking about this block in particular. His stats were so gaudy that this part of his game is getting ignored completely and people are just assuming that he will be game scripted off the field when we are behind, but….

On this play, the blitzer has a full head of steam, Dameon steps up, drops low, grabs him and explodes up like he was in the weight room doing squats and tosses that man on his shoulder. We already know that he out squats linemen ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjQ35z1KWbM ), but he absorbed all that kinetic energy and redirected it while only barely being budged from his base.
