Transportation and aftercare for outpatient surgery?

I’m having outpatient surgery next month and I’ll need someone to pick me up after the surgery and also monitor me for a bit once I get home. What sort of services should I look for? I found some medical transport services. I may need to someone to monitor me for a pit post-surgery. Would that person me considered a health aid? I don’t know what terms to google. I could stay in the hospital overnight, but was trying to avoid that. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Creating an evacuation plan

I was listening to someone talking about their experience trying to evacuate Louisiana for Ida and the drive to Houston taking 15 hours. I currently don’t own a car and I’m trying to learn how to drive. I don’t have any kids or pets. In making my evacuation plan I put down leaving the city 72 hours before hurricane landfall. I have options, bus, plane, or family/friends.

Do you think 72 hours is enough time to evacuate from a hurricane? Do you think I’d get stuck in traffic? Should I evacuate to a less common place to avoid traffic or long lines at the airport? How easily would I people able to book a plan ticket to leave same day? What are some thing’s you put in your evacuation plan?
