My family member was in a very serious car accident a week ago today. She's been at Ben Taub this past week and has already undergone two surgeries lasting 10+ hours. Most of the bones in both legs were broken or crushed along with a foot, a hip, her ribs, and an arm. They are talking about discharging her today even though they had been saying she'd need to stay 2-3 weeks... She doesn't feel comfortable going home yet and would like to go to an in-patient rehab for a while. She has asked me to look into TIRR. Please tell me if you'd recommend TIRR or not, or let me know if there are any other good facilities we should look into (the closer to BT the better since she'll have to return weekly for appointments for 3 months).
