To register, fill out a Voter Registration Application Online , print it and mail it to the voter registrar in your county of residence.

Important! You are NOT registered UNTIL you have filled out the online application, printed it, and mailed it to your local County Voter Registrar. The County Voter Registrar's address can be found at the top of the online outputted voter registration application once you have submitted your information.

To register in Texas, voters can fill out this form and mail it to the county voter registrar's office (or go to the office in person). There are 254 counties in the state of Texas so make sure that you send it to the correct one. If you have moved recently, you might need to reregister in a new county. After you register go and look up your local voting location and check your registration status. You can also call the voter registrar’s office in the county where you reside.

In Texas you can VOTE EARLY at any voting location between October 13th and October 30th. Do this to avoid the inevitably long lines on November 3rd and because it will be safer.

Voting by mail in Texas is only available to persons over 65, the disabled, and those who will be out of their county during the election.

Also be sure you are complying with Texas Voter ID laws. Your ID address does not have to match the voter registration address. You can bring an ID including your passport but also a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or government document also works as long it has your current address. Know your rights before you go. Some people working the voting locations may know less than you.
