Thinking about making a move in the near future; Alief is much closer to my job and seems pretty affordable. Thing is, despite living here for awhile, I didn't even know there was an Alief until recently lol. I did some searching, but nobody writes about this place. I know a handful of things, namely that it's majority Hispanic, and has an independent school district that seems to be better than HISD (not directly relevant but I know it affects appreciation). Also it looks to be pretty well located considering the westward growth of Houston. Any opinions on Alief that could help a fellow Houstonian make an informed decision? Appreciate it!
