Thanks to the Make I-45 Better Coalition, Air Alliance Houston, LINK Houston, Texas Housers, the Circle Coalition, the Sierra Club, Fifth Ward Super Neighborhood, Avenue CDC, XR Houston, One Breath, West Street Recovery, so many other orgs, residents and neighborhoods along the freeway, and every person reading this: Harris County is suing TxDOT, and the Federal Highway Administration opened a Title VI investigation. For now, TxDOT is paused.

I haven't seen any official press releases on this and I'm not personally aware of how this effects the forward momentum TXDOT has made (if any) towards land acquisition, but this seems like good news to me.
