How has the Museum District fared in terms of safety, homelessness, car break ins, trash, and so on during this pandemic? Do ya’ll think it’s a good place to show a couple of foreigners?

Basically, I have to take my boss’s clients around as an impromptu tour guide, showing them Houston. Boss literally said “show them America”, whatever the f**k that means. My first thought was taking them down to a range, but it’s probably unprofessional and fiance says its an extreme idea. I also suggested ethnic enclaves so they can feel a little at home to her, but she said it’s a little insensitive and boring… which makes sense. They’re hailing from Nigeria, China, and Europe (I think Sweden and Norway?) I do not know their ages, but probably in their 30s to 50s.

So now, I’m aiming for the Museum District, maybe a Thursday for free museum entries, a trip up to the Welcome to Houston sign and graffiti alley, and then NASA to cap it all off. Do ya’ll think that’s pretty sound? Thanks in advance!

My friend and I found a shih tzu on the street. No chip, no collar. Friend’s neighbor says he saw it roaming about for 8 hours. He was drinking water from the side of the road. We fed and gave him water. We think it was abandoned. He appears to be older. Medium size. He is quiet, appears well groomed, potty trained, can roll to his side, is playful, and likes chest rubs. He has something on his eye, not sure what it is. Currently at my friend’s house, hanging outside because he has 3 dogs of his own inside. I have 1 myself so can’t take in the little guy.
