I have my brother in law and his two kids in town this weekend and I’m looking for a reasonable price on a 2hr. fishing trip. Preferably within 45 min. drive from Clear Lake.

Seems the regular prices for charters is over $150 per person, which is terribly expensive. I was looking to pay around $50-75 per person.

Honestly, if anyone has a boat and knows how and where to fish, I’d pay them. We’ll get 1 day fishing passes and whatever else we need.

Looking to get a nice dinner out and saw a documentary on what it takes to be a high-end Michelin starred restaurant(not Jiro dreams of sushi) and I was curious, with Houston being touted as a restaurant-centric city, is there a Michelin starred restaurant? I know I’ll end up paying way too much for a dinner that’ll make me hungry by the time I try to sleep, but, i’d like to try it.

but I am confused, how does a restaurant that is not open already have a michelin star?

Wife’s planning a diet soon and before that I’d like to eat enough Chinese to hate myself, so, please let me know of any cheap Chinese buffet in the southeast Houston area.

A little background: Me and the wife are from the Houston area. We lived in Virginia for the last 4 years and recently moved back. I work in the Clear Lake/Pasedena area. No kids yet. We’ve started the house hunting.

We really like the Shadow Creek area(near Kirby and Broadway). The major items we’re looking for in a home are all present in that location. However, on Zillow it shows that schools are not as good as some of the other areas. So, my question is, do schools really matter when we’re not planning on living in the home for our future children’s whole grade school time? I’ve done a bit of research and one thing to consider is the potential for homes to be discounted due to lower school ratings in relation to other places. Also, the positive item could be that the schools will develop and could raise the home value.

Any thought surrounding that? This would be our first home purchase.
