So I'll be doing a road trip through Texas in a few weeks and Houston will be the 1st city I stop in for a few days. So, what area of the city is a good place to find a hotel in? Preferably non expensive hotel. What are some fun things to do? I bought a city pass so those stops are covered like nasa/zoo etc. Also what are some good food spots? Non national brands. Really want some Texas bbq/tex-mex, Texas food ya know. I know I'm asking a lot but it's good to hear from the people who live in the area and get real suggestions. Thanks.
