I'm flying in for the Jags game on Sept 12.

This is my first time in Houston so I want to be set up for success.

First questions are around travel. I'm thinking of getting in on Friday night and leaving Sunday night after the game.

Is it a mistake trying to catch a flight out at 6:30pm? Game goes until 4ish, but I see that the airport is kinda far from the stadium. So I would need to stop by the hotel before I get to the airport.

What area of the city is the best part to stay at? I want to go out into the city Friday and Saturday night, so whatever has the right balance for seeing the city, going to the game and getting to the airport. Hotel brand or quality isnt a matter.

Also, how is the atmosphere? Is it really hostile?
