Plumbing tip: getting your pipes replaced by a plumber is more expensive than using a repipe company. https://houstonnewmedia.org/plumbing-tip-getting-your-pipes-replaced-by-a-plumber-is-more-expensive-than-using-a-repipe-company/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=plumbing-tip-getting-your-pipes-replaced-by-a-plumber-is-more-expensive-than-using-a-repipe-company Mon, 22 Feb 2021 16:27:12 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=af665380871b3ae755640f10e1c7341b My parents repiped their house a few years ago. The plumber was going to charge $6k, but the repipe company only charged $4k. Definitely worth looking into. Demand is high so prices might have gone up. submitted by /u/Nerobus [link] &#3...

There are a lot restaurants "mysteriously" closing all over town with no reason given. https://houstonnewmedia.org/there-are-a-lot-restaurants-mysteriously-closing-all-over-town-with-no-reason-given/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=there-are-a-lot-restaurants-mysteriously-closing-all-over-town-with-no-reason-given Fri, 19 Jun 2020 20:13:47 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=3c8d86b1aacae7c89a2562333655f9ca

The Whataburger in League City had 2 positive employees this week (that I know of personally, likely more) and they did everything they could to hide this. They are closed for just a few days. Chick-fil-a on Fairmont mysteriously closed for about a week. Several small places in my area, same thing. I'm seeing it more and more and the restaurants keep claiming "personal reasons" "for cleaning" or giving no explanation at all. These places are not being honest.

We really need to start a running list of places with employees who have tested positive so we can better track.
