Would you help a bored pregnant lady with a few lessons?
Hi Houston.
This post is more of an experiment, more than anything! I’m curious to see who in my city practices the act of…selfless giving? But not with money or merchandise. Not with any common or otherwise material object.
Who is willing to give some of their time and knowledge to another person? Time is precious, so it is VERY valuable! So what I’m asking is who, if asked, would step out of a comfort zone and set aside 1 hour, once a week, for 3 weeks to give someone else (that’ll be me btw, hi I’m chels) a quick lesson/tutorial of a skill they have mastered themselves?
Examples of lessons to teach: -guitar lessons❤ -piano or any instrument -singing lessons -dance lessons -painting/any art -cooking! -parenting -photography/video (of any kind, I’m an adult) -fitness -yoga/pregnancy yoga -INTRO TO A Foreign LANGUAGE -computer knowledge -software knowledge -home improvement -interior decorating/organizing -mom lessons! (Not a bad concept, lol) -cleaning hacks/tips -survival skills? Like outdoor basics idk
That’s only what came to mind lol. What skill would you teach or maybe you have taught? Please comment, I’d love to know!
Whether via Zoom/Videocall or a meet in public setting. 1 hour of a week, for 3 weeks. That’s 3 lessons you’d be teaching me for free, essentially. You would be volunteering 🙂
About me, the student. I’m a young mother, 29. Name’s Chels. I’m currently unemployed and I’m 21 weeks pregnant! My days have been dull lately, lve become quite complacent. I want so much to learn new things, expand my mind and challenge myself! However, these lessons or classes or tutorials….they cost more than I can afford at this time. This isn’t to say I’ll be this broke for long, mind you. I’m going back to work as soon as 2 weeks after I deliver my newborn! Nevertheless, I am dying of boredom and want to spend time productively right now. You could say I’m a big advocate for ‘DON’T BE TOO PROUD TO ASK FOR HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT’. Lol.
Well, there it is. Any feedback is welcome. Thank you for reading and Happy New Year, ya’ll 😊
