Regal Edwards – Greenway. Why does anyone go here?

I saw a movie here this past weekend and was honestly shocked by how crappy the whole setup is.

First of all, the ticket prices are a good $3-$5 more per ticket than at Cinemark or AMC. More on this later.

Second the parking system is atrocious. The fact that you have to pay for parking at all is ridiculous, especially considering the tickets are already more expensive. But to add to it, ITS ONE GUY STANDING AT A PODIUM TAKING CASH OR CARD. WHAT YEAR IS IT?! The traffic to just to get into the garage was backed up in both directions a good 10-12 cars deep. If I hadn’t bought my ticket online I probably would’ve just left and gone somewhere else.

I will admit the lobby is cool. The Old Hollywood mural was fun to look at. The concession prices didn’t seem outrageous compared to other theaters. But Pepsi products only? What’s that about?

Then when you finally get into the theater, the seats are still the old style stadium seats, not recliners like at Cinemark which is much cheaper and has free parking. Not to mention there’s no dividing wall between rows, so if someone is texting or being obnoxious in front of you, you can see the whole thing.

I mean how is this place in business? Are all regals like this? Where else should I go? I used to live in the energy corridor so Cinemark Memorial City was my old spot but Im not trying to drive 30+ minutes to see a movie. Any recs?

TLDR: Regal Greenway is a rip off compared to other theaters in the city and I doubt I’ll be back.

Voting question for new resident.

Hey yall

I have a question about the voter registration process for new residents. I moved to Houston from out of state about 4 weeks ago. I have already register my vehicle, got plates, all that, and when I registered my vehicle they gave me a voter registration form. I filled it out and have already mailed it, but I still don’t know if I am eligible to vote.

The form asked for my Texas drivers license number, but I’m having trouble getting a Texas driver’s license. All of the offices are booked for appointments through February. There was a line for SSN if you dont have a TX license, but I dont know if that will be sufficient.

Does anyone know if I’ll be able to vote next month without a TX-issued license? Will my out of state license work?

Thanks
