Looking for insight for a friend. She doesn’t speak English (just Spanish). Has skills in Programming/engineer and is here in Houston. Very grateful for any info.
I have a friend. Shes from Mexico. Her English is bad but can use translate just fine. She had a job in Mexico doing engineering/Programming. So Java, C++ and that stuff. But came to the USA with her husband. He is divorcing her and right now she’s working as a waitress. She makes AMAZING cakes ( artsy type stuff ). I have been trying to tell her to put her computer skills to use but she feels overwhelmed by it all.
Would any of you have any insights on how I can get her into a job that can help her move forward while she learns her English? It would be a shame to see that go to waste when she could have an amazing future under the right leadership.
