Bunny Fosters Needed

I know a lot of shelters and foster systems are overwhelmed, and summertime is a particularly slow time for fostering with folks going on vacation, however, I wanted to put out there that Bunny Buddies is in serious need of fosters to help give abandoned and surrendered bunnies a second chance.

Bunny Buddies does not have a physical shelter to house bunnies, so fosters are the lifeblood of the whole organization. They’re great communicators with their fosters and will supply you with equipment to start fostering (playpen, litter box, two weeks of litter and hay and pellets, pellet bowl, water reservoir and carpet). Bunny Buddies pays for all medical procedures that bunnies need!

Bunnies make for great foster bunnies as they’re crepuscular (they’re mostly active at dusk and dawn, but can be active during the day as well), which means a work schedule of 9 to 5 is typically when your bunny winds down for sleep. They don’t need walks and are mostly independent, especially in pairs. Their diet consists of timothy hay (and pellets, depending on their eating habits), so buying food for bunnies is much less expensive than cats or dogs.

If you have any questions about fostering, please let me know!

Also, if you’re looking for a good cause to donate to, you can donate once or monthly to a great cause. All proceeds go to medical care and equipment to help foster rabbits.

Thank you!

I know this is a longshot, but can someone who is familiar with rabbits pick up a bunny from someone near the Willowbrook Mall? A person reached out to us finding an adopted rabbit, but their boss will be mad about them keeping it in their office all night and comes in at 10am.

I fear the rabbit will be placed back outside if we cannot work something out. I have a foster close by but I have not heard from them yet as it is a Friday and might be at work.

I can give additional details if this is possible, if not, then thanks for your attention!

Finding an abandoned rabbit* Not adopted, though I hope that’ll change soon!

Edit: Good news, I got someone to help save this bunny. Thanks all! If you or anyone you know is interested in fostering bunnies, check out BunnyBuddys.org and fill out an application to foster!

Rabbit Rescue looking for Fosters/Temporary Homes

Good afternoon everyone!

I work as the foster coordinator with the local rabbit foster/rescue Bunny Buddies and we’re in great need of foster homes for many of the abandoned and surrendered bunnies in the Houston and Greater-Houston area!

A lot of our fosters are aging out of the system and/or are moving away, which puts a lot more stress on our existing fosters, so any help is appreciated! Short and Long Term buddies are welcome! Some responsibilities include bringing the bunny to the vet for spay/neuter appointments, and visiting adoption events when it is more safe to do so and restrictions are lifted.

If you have any questions you can send me a PM or reply here. You can also visit here for information on what it means to be a foster.

I’ve posted this gallery before, but here again is the bunny tax.
