Read MoreGoogle maps has this pretty good feature on gauging whether or not it’s busy. I was hoping to go to the grocery store right now and checked how busy it was. Usually the location is highlighted with a purple circle and labeled “as busy as it gets.” This will help anyone going out and about in Houston.
If you do head out, please be kind to the workers and wear your masks. No one wants to start the new year sick with covid.

Read MoreI stumbled upon this post by Chris Shepherd today. I’ve never been to his restaurants or know much about him except that he’s a chef in houston, but he makes a good point. Asking for free food in exchange for an Instagram post when most restaurants have had to lay off workers and most (if not every single person who’s been laid off because of the current situation) of those workers having issues with unemployment assistance, it’s very insensitive at a time like this.
