First and second round mocks are fun but the later rounds are where teams are made, here are a few players I want the Texans to take a look at.
Marcus Jones CB Houston:
Jones is not only the best kick/punt returner in the draft but also a playmaking all-around cornerback. He picked off five passes and broke up 12 others this season.
Kyren Williams RB Notre Dame:
Williams finished 2021 like a house on fire. He racked up 14 touchdowns over his final eight games and finished with 58 broken tackles on 204 carries. He’s one of the best pass-protectors in the draft class, too, despite checking in just around 200 pounds. Great fit for teams that involve their running back a lot in the passing game.
Sean Rhyan T UCLA:
Rhyan is a physical run-blocker who currently plays tackle for UCLA but likely profiles best to guard in the NFL. He took a massive step forward in 2021, with his overall grade going from 73.9 to 83.7.
Calvin Austin III WR Memphis:
All the other blurbs are from PFF but this is my own writing. He is projected to go 7th round/UDFA by PFF but other sties rate him as high as a day two pick. At only 5’9 and 162 pounds he still put up a 1200 yard season last year. He caught my eye because Austin III looks a lot like a project Wes Welker/Julian Edelman slot WR. Since this organization is so obsessed with the Patriots don’t be surprised if we pick up this guy.

Blurb from PFF Daniels is quietly in the midst of his best NFL season, with the Bears finally putting him at one position — right guard — and leaving him there to improve over the year. Daniels was one of the youngest draft picks in 2018 and will stil…
