Personally I’d swap Gurriel and Mancini, but offensively is this the best they have?

I know this has come up a couple of times already but I still can’t help but think that Click has to be calling the Nats about Soto. Juan Soto is under control for 2.5 years! He’s not a rental like Graveman was last year when we gave up Toro.

The Astros have been sending a ton of guys up and down this year because the team is loaded at every position. I don’t think it would kill the team to package 2 out 3 outfielders in Siri, McCormick, or Meyers and like 2 out 3 infielders in Jones, Matajevic, and Goodrum.

I think 2.5 years of control of Juan Soto, who is one of the best hitters in all of baseball, wouldn’t cripple the team for years after. 2.5 years is enough time for new prospects to make their mark and bring them up when Soto tries to get his $500 million contract.

Could you imagine an Astros lineup that looked like this for the next 2.5 years??

Gurriel 1B (Probably resign) Altuve 2B Peña SS Bregman 3B Alvarez LF Meyers/McCormick CF (whichever we don’t trade) Tucker RF Korey Lee C Soto DH

About a month ago someone on this subreddit posted to fire Dusty Baker and had a pretty good backing for the idea. What are the Astros team stats since that post came up? The Astros couldn’t be playing better baseball right now and I’d love to see how crazy that turn around has been

I’m hoping to score some Astros tickets for fairly cheap, but unfortunately we’ve gotten too damn good for that to happen in a lot of cases. When would you guys suggest is the best time to score cheap tickets on StubHub or even just walking up to the box office?

I miss the days of $5 tickets after the 3rd inning when we were losing 100 games a year, made going to MMP so much easier.
