Normally this time of year, I’ll have 10-15 of these things in my garage if the door is up for 10 minutes. I’ve presently been out here almost an hour and have seen exactly one. Are they another one of the depressing number of species going extinct, or is there something else going on here?

Without exaggeration, it is hundreds of thousands if not millions of these things. Literally every intersection around here is blanketed by them. I got out of the car to drop something off for like 90 seconds, then eventually realized like 10 of them were crawling on me as I drove away. I think they’ve gotten into my pants somehow too. Then as soon as you drive over the bridge to the other side of 45, they immediately disappear.

Anyone know what in the hell is going on here?

The Chinese restaurant I’ve been eating from since I was a kid (Rice Bowl off W. Bellfort/Fondren) no longer makes egg foo young, which severely bums me out. Any recommendations for (preferably) nearby places with egg foo young of a similar quality?

[To be clear, by “of a similar quality” I mean “served with a gravy-like substance and has had the living s**t fried out of it.” The only other place I’ve had egg foo young was a higher-end restaurant and it did nothing for me]
