Project Brays CLOMR – Proposed flood map revision?

While reading about the Brays Project I found their CLOMR. If I understand correctly it is the proposed way the flood map would change once all the work is completed. If so, this would really really change things in Meyerland and Westbury. What do you guys think? Do you think this CLOMR is a best case scenario or a possible reality?

I’ve heard from people that flooded during tax day, memorial and harvey comment how after the mitigation project started they haven’t flooded at all. But, it’s honestly hard to say. Most flooding seems to be a case by case scenario

Bury power lines?

Has anyone buried their power lines? I’m asking because our house has power lines running from the backyard to the house, and it honestly looks a bit ugly. We obviously would be working with an electrician and a contractor. But, I’m wondering if anyone has any knowledge to share on this matter

Edit: I want to add I want to know like how long it takes, price, and if centerpoint has to be involved or not

Looking to buy a house in Houston?

DO YOUR RESEARCH! I mean it. It really amazes me the amount of houses that get sold in Bellaire, Meyerland and Heights that are inside the floodmap. I’m not sure if the people that are buying them are completely unaware or they just don’t care. It really is true that if a house is too good to be truth, there must be something wrong with it. So, be super critical while looking for your houses

Prohibited Yard Parking Ordinance and a RV

Hey everyone, my in-laws will be coming visit in a month or so, and they will be driving all the way from California in their RV. Ideally, we would like them to be able to park it outside the house, on the street. We live in a townhouse in EaDo so we don’t have a proper driveway for them. I found out about the Prohibited Yard Parking Ordinance, and I’m so confused about how this affect it. Does it say their tiny RV can’t be parked in front of our yard if our HOA applied to it? Is anyone familiar with it?

I’ve seen trucks parked on the street on the back where a warehouse is located, so I know they can park there for sure! Worse case scenario I guess they can leave their RV on an RV park.

Edit: we had decided to just ask them to leave it at the RV park and get them to stay in our bedroom while we stay in the living room. Thanks everyone who replied with information
