The Mariners sub has reported increased harassment from the Astros community; personally, I haven’t seen much of anything? My best guess is, they are not used to play-off baseball (haven’t been in the playoffs since reddit was a thing?) so the negative aspects of fandom might be new to them; that is, there are fans who look to exploit any situation for their own amusement, and losing a playoff game is prime troll material.

Play-Offs bring out the worst in some people. There’s a large contingent of baseball fans on reddit that never bother with the individual subs, unless something momentous happens (like lose a playoff game).

So we are asking that you please do not interact with the Mariners sub in any way. Not to say GG, not to say you’ll be spooky next year, nothing. They don’t want to hear it. If you want to interact with other fans, r/baseball is the place to do it.
