Who’s had their house raised?

I’ve got an old pier and beam bungalow in the heights that has had Frankenstein additions over the decades. It has settled to the point where doing any work under it is extremely difficult. In January I had to excavate a 40ft tunnel under the house just to replace a $30 peice of PVC… I’ve recently discovered I have some less than structurally sound beams supporting the main house.

I’ve weighed the options and it looks to me raising the house about 18″ is probably the best way to go. Ive gotten one quote and I like the guy but my gut says get two more quotes.

Anyone have someone they recommend?

1500sqft house built in the 40s.

Thanks!
