I moved to Houston suburbs in 2018 with my now ex. It was just us when we moved, and it stayed that way for me [she was able to establish a good friend group through her work]. I am still trying to get my social footing. I am a bit shy, but I am able to go to bars and such and at least sit around, maybe play pool by myself. So far, I haven't been able to establish any connections, granted I don't go out a WH9LE lot.

All that being said, do you guys have any suggestions for some places that a younger [27] dude can go and make friends? Somewhere where people are easy to talk to, or perhaps where the people will approach people in a friendly manner?
