Moving to Houston soon and I'm wondering if there are any nice walkable historic areas in Houston that feature a large concentration of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. I've visited Dallas before and adored the historic look and chaos of Deep Ellum, and I'm wondering if there are similar streets/neighborhoods in Houston.

When I was visiting looking at apartments, I was recommended to visit Montrose - although the spots were cool it wasn't all concentrated in a nice walkable area. Any recommendations help! Thanks :)
