I’m in College Station looking to get evaluated for ADHD. I was diagnosed with ADHD-PI as a 6yo, my whole family has it. I took medicine until junior high but then stopped. I’m now in college and over the past year I’ve had all of my symptoms come at me full force to the point it’s almost unbearable. I talked to my GP about it but she won’t prescribe stimulants until I get rediagnosed, she believes ADHD goes away as we grow up.

I saw a psychologist in the same location that my GP works, he gave me the ADHD Rating Scale and the IVA-2. Since the IVA-2 is like a video game, it didn’t at all show the issues I told my doctor about and he said he couldn’t diagnose me with the results he had. I asked and no one at Baylor Scott & White in Cstat does actual, comprehensive ADHD testing, just this abridged version.

I’ve been calling around locally and I can’t get seen until December. I’m looking to see if there’s somewhere in Houston I can go to get a comprehensive test whose results I can send to my GP over the summer.
