It's electricity plan renewal time for me. The disclaimer on all the electricity company websites warns you about having to pay possible fees picking a "specific date" to switch service vs. the "within the next 2-5 business days" standard option.

Is there actually a switch fee?

The comptroller website says to request a refund of the tax or get them to sign some form and we can request the refund from the government..? What if the seller doesn't respond?

Mortgage rates are crazy low so I'm considering refinancing to a lower rate. An appraisal may be ordered as part of the refinance process. The mortgage will likely be sold to Fannie/Freddie Mac.

Would HCAD see that appraisal and adjust the property valuation accordingly? Or is it private information unless/until I tell HCAD?
