Anyone else getting a broken signal/picture on AT&T Sportsnet? https://houstonnewmedia.org/anyone-else-getting-a-broken-signal-picture-on-att-sportsnet/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=anyone-else-getting-a-broken-signal-picture-on-att-sportsnet Sun, 11 Sep 2022 21:05:15 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=7185b303dabf441e20bf1cb10abdd931

Hi all. This has been happening a lot lately as I watch Astros games. The picture breaks up, gets pixellated, the sound gets choppy, sometimes the screen freezes altogether.

Anyone else getting this or know what might be causing it? It's not happening on other channels.

Thanks!

Why is that section along the first base line always empty? https://houstonnewmedia.org/why-is-that-section-along-the-first-base-line-always-empty/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=why-is-that-section-along-the-first-base-line-always-empty Sun, 14 Aug 2022 18:19:16 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=45c9aa86cf0cd9b9747fc6c8d11630af

Hi all. This is something that has been bothering me all season. When I watch Astros games, there is always a section along the first base line that is almost totally empty every day.

It's easy to see when the camera shows a left-handed hitter with the section behind him.

Does anyone know why this is? Are those seats not available for purchase or something?

Thanks!

Is there a 2021 baseball card team set? https://houstonnewmedia.org/is-there-a-2021-baseball-card-team-set/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=is-there-a-2021-baseball-card-team-set Mon, 14 Mar 2022 16:33:46 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=d7454fac6f42ef1c1f107fce5d3d6a94

Hi all! For the past few years I've been buying the yearly team set of cards for my nephew, usually at the shop in Minute Maid Park, but for 2020 I ordered it online from the MLB Shop since we didn't go to any games that year.

But this past year (the 2021 season) I have never been able to find the team set of cards on the shop website. Does anyone know if they made them this year or not? I figured this was something they made every year, but it's been impossible to find so far.

All it is is a small pack of about 17 cards with that current season's team. Nothing fancy, but it's been a nice collectible over the past few years.

This is what the 2020 pack looked like, and they have all looked exactly like this each year: Team Set

Thanks!

Astros 2021 Team Set cards available? https://houstonnewmedia.org/astros-2021-team-set-cards-available/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=astros-2021-team-set-cards-available Mon, 08 Nov 2021 17:31:24 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=175b5f637ae565727240aa4b3ed34461

Hi all. I'm hoping this is an appropriate place to ask this. I've been checking the MLB shop for the past couple of weeks, but I can't find the Team Set of baseball cards that is usually available every year.

I know they typically sell them during the season, so it didn't seem right that maybe they just aren't available yet. Anyone know what's going on with them?

For reference, the package always looks like this:

Houston Astros 2020 Topps Factory Sealed Special Edition 17 Card Team Set with Justin Verlander, Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman Plus https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085VR2SHT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_TSCKE64MMFAA6C5EHRKB

Thanks!
