I was biking along but I left my headlight at home and lost track of time. I saw an animal ahead but it was so dark that I could on see a vague outline as I was biking away. I know there are hogs in the park but I just wonder what the heck it was doing all the at the top of the biking trail. it’s a steep climb to get up there.

Hello all minor PSA. In Southwest Houston suburbs specifically, Google maps takes you along roads where sidewalks abruptly end and non-biking trails. Maybe this is obvious to most cyclists in Houston, but this was my first time and I was trying to scout out a route to my work that I can start commuting to work via bike(gas prices are getting crazy). Plan your routes and try to see how bike friendly it really is so you don’t get caught with your pants down. Be safe y’all
