How cool is it to think that other teams compare themselves to us?

If the Mariners sweep us in the regular season- they get hyped and think "we're for real! We swept the Astros!"
If the White Sox pitchers shut our lineup down for 2 games in a row in June- their sub gets all giddy and dreams of the WS.

If a rebuilding team has a solid series against us they talk about how their lineup is mature and ready to take the next step.

You know the Yankees circle every game with us on their schedule and want to beat us so bad they can't stand it.

WE ARE THE MEASURING STICK OF THE MLB AND I'M LOVING IT!

I realize no one outside of Houston believe this way and that we are the most hated team in baseball, but fans in this sub will totally get what I'm saying.
I love this team not because we smoked the Red Sox the last two games- I loved this team just because they are a super fun and good group of teammates- the TRUE DEFINITION OF A TEAM-top to bottom.
Now that I'm older I realize exactly WHY I love baseball. It's the fun of rooting for your guys all year and dreaming how far they can go in the playoffs. And then the playoffs start and every playoff win is a gift. When I was younger I got upset when they lost and say "they broke my heart this is terrible." But now, I just see every game for the gift it is-and it sure is fun to watch them win.
My absolute favorite thing about these Astros is how deep and talented they are. It's Alvarez and Brantley tonight- Correa and Bregman yesterday, and Altuve in game 1. And you know all the guys are so happy for one another when they are successful-you can see it on their faces. You can tell that Altuve is just as happy if Bregman homers as if he did. And Correa celebrates just as much for an Alvarez homer as he does for his own.
And our pitchers are all super cool and fun- from LMJ to Framber to Grienke to rookie Garcia- just a fun bunch. Thanks for reading and GO ASTROS!
