Here is breakdown of the bond issue that Garcia is pushing for this is taken from this website to prevent flooding. It does a good job at looking at flooding in the county.

We haven't even spent all the money from the last bond offering. While you are at it vote for Morman and not Garcia.

From the website

Separately, Adrian Garcia has proposed another $1.2 billion bond – even though hundreds of millions remain from the 2015 bond. Unlike the 2018 Flood Bond, which specified projects in each watershed so people knew what they were supposedly getting, Garcia’s bond contains only three high-level categories split up into Propositions A, B, and C. They include:

  • A) Public safety: $100 million
  • B) Transportation: $900 million
  • C) Parks and Trails: $200 million

That’s right. Garcia wants to spend twice as much on hike-and-bike trails as public safety.

I liked Picos when it was on Bellaire. I don't like going out and spending $120 on dinner for two if I want Mexican. I know Pico's is good but I am just shocked that when it moved between River Oaks, Montrose and West U the pricing keeps creeping up. It looks local and that makes me feel better when I spend money.

So my question is has anyone eaten at this place Mayas?
