A little bit of a different post here.

I metal detect for a hobby. I go to local parks and search and never really come up with much. I’ve been doing it for years now, and I am running out of good parks to go to in my area. I live on the south side, and would love to gain access to some older properties (pre-1950s ideally).

If anybody here has something that would fit that, I would love to come check out your place/land!

A little more info on the matter. I got my first detector when I was 17. I’ve been in and out of the hobby over the last decade and got a new one from my wife for Christmas.

I won’t leave holes in the land I search, as I use the “plug” method of digging. Essentially, it leaves the grass undisturbed and sets back in place like a puzzle piece. Most targets I get are usually in the 4-6 inch depth range and very small, so the amount of dirt I move is minimal.

I would love some leads on older properties. Thank y’all in advanced!
