bad management for an apartment complex, haven’t signed lease yet, anyway to get back nonrefundable fees?

my partner and I found a place we wanted but it has been an absolute shitshow. Absolutely every question we ask the girl who answers the phone needs to be then asked to the manager. It seems like we’re the only ones that have ever read their lease as nobody knows the answers to ANy of our questions without looking at it and talking to someone. We asked about extra fees when touring, but they didn’t tell us the whole story. We got one lease and there was a section written in what sounded like 5 year old writing, that said the gym fob costs and extra $50, on top of the amenity fees and stuff. Then when asked about it since that was not a fee that was mentioned when we toured, they said oh we just got a new updated lease and you were sent an old version. Cool? nope, now its a $50 gym fob fee plus $50 gym fee. Like huh? On top of this we were trying to add me on as a tenant ( as I wasn’t originally going to be living there, but have since changed my mind) and this took over a week as the emails never got to me, anytime they tried anything it screwed up my partner’s account, once hers somehow got deleted. it was a mess. Is there anyway to get $900 of nonrefundable fees back and leave?

Looking for a cocktail class

Hi, I am looking for a class to teach me and my partner how to make some fun cocktails. I was looking at the funmixologyclasses.com website but after a while got a bit suspicious because their links suck. (for example, one hyperlink in the Houston page says look at nearest classes here, but takes me to the Boston homepage instead. ) based on this reddit post, I think I’m not the only one, also they are pricey: https://www.reddit.com/r/austinfood/comments/lq14b1/mixology_classes/

Are there any cocktail bars that could offer us classes, or a bartender that could come to our apartment and teach us, but we could get our own ingredients? Our apartment is in Galveston, but we do have a place we could use in Houston if that’s more convenient.

Would appreciate any suggestions! thanks y’all.
