I ask because my views lean towards the right on economy and immigration and but I'm pro choice and perfectly fine with the LGBTQ+ community. I'm thinking of going applying there for grad school. Do conservative people have a hard time fitting in among the younger audience? Are there often protests on policy changes?

Also, how feasible is using a car for daily commute? I heard that the traffic is bad (expected for any big city) and drivers are often rash. How safe are the residential neighborhoods?

Also, in general, what do you like or dislike about living in Houston?
