Houston dialect question

I moved to Houston almost seven years ago. I’ve lived elsewhere in the state, and in other states. I actually live near Rosenberg now, but still Houston-adjacent.

I have four kids: two are school age, one will be in kindergarten in the fall.

My question is this: when you bring your lunch to school, what do you call the container that the lunch goes in? Assuming you don’t use a paper bag, or a bento.

It might look something like this: https://cdni.llbean.net/is/image/wim/502269_0_44

I ask, because I, who grew up in PNW as well as San Antonio and Austin, call it a lunch box. My wife, who grew up in Pennsylvania, also calls it a lunch box.

But my kids call it a lunch kit. And I had never heard that before moving here.

Those of you who grew up here, do you say lunch kit? Those of you who have kids growing up here, do they say lunch kit?

Is this a Houston thing?
