Ramon Urias won AL gold glove for 3rd baseman. Bregman wasn’t even a finalist even tho he led the AL third baseman in outs above average and runs prevented. Urias has a good year as well and one could very easily argue that he is deserving of the award… but to lead the league and not even be a finalist. I understand my bias, but I feel bregmans fielding is always under valued.
Also shoutout to vladdy Jr winning the gold glove at first even tho he had -3 runs prevented and -4 outs above replacement. Golds glove awards continue to be a joke.
Tucker and Peña both won, which I’m excited about. Again I just feel bregman has done amazing switching from ss the 3b and I hope one day he is recognized for his efforts in the field.
Thoughts?
