I have a lot of faith and trust being put in the work there.
But…is there a plan for upgrading the pool? Its in horrible shape, and isn’t even standard laps swimming length (standard is 25yard, 25 meter, or 50 meter). I believe it is 33 yards long.
That spot has so much potential to being an awesome competition pool for the public. And there is a lot of unused space. I could envision an outdoor 50 meter olympic pool there. Instead the pool is horrible, and seems out of place with the great tennis, golf, volleyball facilities. The pool seems like its from the 60s.
There could be a masters swim program, swim lessons, an age group club. If enough of it was deep water there could also be a water polo club (water polo is now a state sanctioned public school sport in Texas UIL). There is a huge lack of quality pools in that area also besides Dads Club at I-10 and Voss.
So, anyway, anyone know of any plan for the pool?
