Where can I dispose of pea gravel?

I’m getting around to cleaning my backyard. Previous homeowners had dogs. I guess they hated the dogs digging, so they laid a landscaping tarp and dumped about 2 -3 inches on top. I’ve been slowly pushing it in to piles and am about ready to start loading and hauling it off.

I checked the main street recycling center. I’ve dumped some broken concrete there before, but their site says they don’t allow rocks. Any ideas on who would take this?

Best price and quality tailor inside the loop?

Getting back to the office and bought a few new slacks and dress shirts. Wanting to size them a bit better. Called one place that quoted 30 buck to taper pants and 28for sizing a shirt. Figure ld I’d be out another 200 bucks or so for the few pieces I want done. Pretty muc doubles the cost. Anybody got a place they recommend thats [more] affordable? Not sure if that’s just t the going rate everywhere.

Anybody been through the process of getting subsidies/rebates/credits for energy efficient appliances in Houston?

Like most, I’ll be replacing a water heater. I’ve seen some manufactures rebates which amount to a 5% – 10% mail in rebate. Those rebates seem to be independent of their efficiency and more tied to their cost. Curious if anyone has gone through getting any type of city rebate or maybe federal tax credit during tax time. I suspect some sort of proof of purchase and/or installation would be required, and have to meet some efficiency criteria. I’m trying to do the “yea but if I spend a couple hundred more to get this model, i’ll ultimately get back x dollars” algebra. Thanks for the help, stay safe and stay warm!
