Traffic Situation Qusetion
so…. I’m driving westbound on Beltway 8 between hwy 249 and hwy 290 early this afternoon. Traffic was very light. I was in the left lane. The speed limit is 65 but I am cruising about 79-80 MPH. No other cars close to me. In my mirror I see a vehicle overtaking me closing pretty quickly, also in the left lane. I maintain my speed and this guy gets very close, tailgating, etc. Finally he flashes lights, and darts around me obviously upset that I did not pull over. So, I would like to know what others think in this situation. As I see it there are two responses:
1) Just pull to the right and let him by or
2) I’m already going 15 MPH over the speed limit, so why should I move over? This mo-mo can just go around
What do you do in this situation?
