Don't get me wrong, I love Bayou Greenways and I know things take time / get delayed etc. but what is the hold up on some of these projects?

I know I didn't expect all of these to be done by 2020, but it seems like they all won't be done even by like 2025.

I live in Alief and the Brays extension would be so valuable in allowing me to commute. There are no safe crossing for Beltway 8 and 59 in Southwest Houston.

I feel like we are so close as a city to making bike commuting work. But these gaps are rough. Wish it was more of a priority for city / county (I know BG2020 is a private group).

Ex swimmer, not college level or anything but solid. Looking to get back in the pool, meet people, where the coach has good vibes and doesn't do boring traditional stuff like 10 X 100s but the workout has some rigor (~2000-3000 yards, get the heart rate up a bit) but isn't impossible. Outdoor pool is preferable (lol with my demands).

So far I've seen Rice, JCC Houston, Dads Club...any groups you all recommend? I get the whole idea of what's closest is best, but I live west side of the loop and commute to West Houston so I'm sure several options work for me.
