I’ve always lived along this street and it’s super dangerous for pedestrians, and there are so MANY that use Westheimer. Being able to get across the street peacefully and safely would benefit both the pedestrian and the drivers. Bridges could be set up all along Westheimer from 610 to Hwy 6.

I don’t know how many times I’ve woken up to the news that someone was run over and killed on Westheimer overnight or in the early morning hours. In the evening people in fast cars and motorcycles love to drag race on the road.

Pedestrian bridges would also make it more enticing for Houstonians along Westheimer to actually get in their car less and walk to get to the Target across the street or get to the shopping center on a busy intersection. Those stores would more than likely see more customers and the streets would be less congested for through drivers.
