Read MoreI have hard water that leaves spots on my glassware and causes soap scum to build up easily. I’d like to get a soft water system installed, but I know nothing about it. Would anyone be able to point me to the right direction, particularly to a local company that won’t try to upsell me or provide a low quality product?

Read MoreA couple of days ago there was a video circulating on Reddit of a teen who was assaulted by two fellow students at Ross Sterling Aviation High School.
https://old.reddit.com/r/houston/comments/phjzox/cowards_attack_another_student_at_ross_shaw/
The only update I was able to find was from a Spanish local news channel, so I went ahead and translated the article for those of you who wanted to follow up on the story.
TLDR: HISD is taking their sweet time to address the situation.
Â
“I felt a lot of helplessness; powerless of not being able to help him”, this is how Juan MartĂnez says he feels, after seeing the video of his 15-year-old son, on his second day of classes in high school.
“He couldn’t even walk. He had blows to his face, they stepped on his head …”, said the father.
According to MartĂnez, his son had undergone brain surgery [days prior], so his condition was susceptible to complications if he received strong blows.
“So, now with the kicks they gave him to the head, he has aftereffects, it hurts and makes him dizzy,” adds MartĂnez.
Â
The video has outraged internet users and his father says he has yet to receive a response from the school.
“It’s difficult, because the [medical] payments are high and I don’t think it’s going to be one, two, three times more. I’m worried that I won’t be able to pay those bills,” Martinez said.
Â
[Per HISD]: “We are aware of the incident that occurred at Sterling High School and is circulating on social media. It is being investigated and steps will be taken to ensure that all students have access to a safe environment.” Additionally they stated that they cannot comment further due to privacy rules.
Â
“He doesn’t want to go to school anymore. I was thinking about transferring him because I don’t feel safe. As I mentioned before, the same boys are still attending the school,” commented Mr. MartĂnez.
Â
The family of the affected student plans to report the case to the authorities. His parents have contacted the school district on multiple occasions, but they say they have not received a response. They hope to find a solution soon so that the young man can return to classes without fear.
