I'm not saying something will happen but that would be a notable deadline as it would lock in a $37mil total for 2023. Being traded before then would allow the new team to restructure before that gets locked in.

He would leave the Texans with a $16.2mil dead cap hit for this year.

Free agency starts the 16th to a lot of moves will be made.

If he's not traded between the 16th-20th he won't move before draft night.

He's tweeted/retreated his own article no less than nine time within the span of a couple hours.

Ok let's start with what Easterby actually does for the team other than burn it down.

Is he awful? Yes

Is it his fault BoB traded an all-world player for him...an awful RB? No

He can't do anything about his situation, he's not choosing to be run into the D-Line with the speed of a nose tackle for 2 yards a clip. Why say "F**k David Johnson?"

He is what he is, and nothing more.

There's no point in tanking as we don't have our own picks...the only thing to do is root for a mediocre team (talent wise) to come together and shock the world.

The first step is to limp into the playoffs.

The Titans lead the division at 4-0, and winning the divison almost mathematically requires a Texans win.

But not only that, a win tomorrow would be huge for momentum sake. The team played uninspired (and generally like garbage) for the first 4 games, barely beat an awful Jags team. and now has to face the best team in the division on their field.

2-4 would be bad enough, 1-5 is hopeless.

Tomorrow is a must-win for the Texans have a chance to make the playoffs...and a reason to keep watching.

The trade was imaginably horrible, and there is no spin that can even come close to justifying it.

That being said, couldn't Hopkins at least have had a slow start or something?

Instead in his first game with a new team, no pre-season, Hopkins catches FOURTEEN (a career high) balls for 151 yards against what was the #1 passing defense last year (by yards allowed/game).

I know it's reactionary but I really have no hope until BoB is gone. Even if we somehow get going as a team, it's so hard to get my hopes up because it's only a matter of time before a ridiculously awful trade or a ridiculous 2nd half choke job.
