Questions about NRG Stadium for TNF

I will be visiting Houston to go to the football game on Thursday night and this will be my first visit to NRG. I’ve looked up and read some information about parking and getting to the stadium. The previous posts all say park and ride the metro. Is that still the best way to park/get to stadium? How much does parking typically cost in the area?

Also, I have family that live in Seabrook and family that lives in Crosby. We are staying at the ones in Seabrook. What time should we depart from there to get to the stadium for game time? Would there be any advantage to staying in Crosby over Seabrook?

If we left the house early, are there things to do relatively close to the stadium until the game starts? Anything, including restaurants, that you may suggest?

I’ve been to the Toyota Center and Minute Maid Park for games in the past and getting in our was relatively smooth but I also know NFL crowds are or can be much larger than NBA/MLB crowds. Any additional information on getting in and out or is it like the other two just more people?

We are driving in from Arkansas tonight for the game and are also thinking about leaving after the game and getting on the outskirts of Houston before departing in the morning. Any recommendations on where to stop for the night city/town wise? I think we will be coming in/going out on I69/59, of I remember correctly.

Any other information or tips you would like to share?
