It's our first cruise for our family of 6 and I'm wondering if it's hard to get an Uber XL or Lyft from Houston to Galveston?

It looks like the cheapest option for my group but I'm just worried that we won't find one willing to go that far. I also read that Uber is not allowed to go to the cruise port? Is this still true?

We haven't decided where to stay at this point but we're thinking of staying in Kemah since it looks cheaper and maybe easier to get to Galveston. Any suggestions?

We looked at renting a car but it's so expensive...and it would just be parked in a lot. Anyone with a minivan and not a murderer? 🥺
