Read MoreI’m curious what people would think of the strategy of waiting until 13 to take a QB, and taking one of the two top pass rushers at 2nd. As a thought experiment, if you could guarantee Anthony Richardson is still available at 13, would you prefer to walk out of the draft with Anderson/Carter and Richardson? Or would you prefer to come away with Young/Stroud and maybe a defensive or OL prospect at 13?
Obviously there is a risk to waiting in that all 4 of the top QBs could be gone by then. I just thought it’d be interesting to set that aside and consider the possibility. Personally I’d prefer giving Ryans an elite talent to use and let the D carry us, and hope we can get a raw physical talent at QB develop they way guys like Jackson, Allen, and Hurts have recently. What are your thoughts?
