I need some reccomendations on haircutters who can cut a woman’s hair short and not make it look like she is the intense opposite of straight.

I keep getting these horrible haircuts and they are not cheap either. This is the third time since the lockdown that I am seriously considering shaving my hair all off again because that will actually look less butch than the $100 haircut I was given last night. It won’t look great, but at least it won’t look like I put a lot of effort into looking horrible like this does.

When I go, I take a picture with me of the haircut I have had that I loved most, and that was short, but also flirty and cute, and that earned compliments from actual straight men who found me attractive partly because of it. That’s the message I am wanting to send to the world again and it’s baffling to me that this keeps being such an obstacle.

Please, please good recs who can imitate a picture, I am inner loop and don’t mind paying if they will finally get it right! This should not be so impossible. The recs I got last year on Nextdoor gave two of these awful cuts ($65 & $70 on those also) so I am hoping redditors are more capable.

Looking for a doctor who isn’t a b*tch. That’s pretty much all. I had no insurance most of my life, got good insurance the past four years, and now continue to only find female doctors that are unable to smile or even be basically polite when I show interest in my own health. Nothing against low cost/charity places –since I used them for years– but they do tend to be crowded so unless the doc is really extraordinarily kind, I’d prefer other referrals. Could also be a PA, my plan doesn’t require me to go to them for referrals to other people, so basically just someone for that one physical/well woman exam a year and to house my records. I am about 2 miles south of downtown and work about two miles south of the galleria, so around either of those places or in between is fine.
