Any advice on getting from Montrose to TMC on an electric scooter?
Trying to figure how feasible this is and if it’s worth it vs having to wait for the bus for 15+ minutes sometimes.

Recently received a bonus at work and since my GF has been stressed out at work lately, I thought about getting us a couples massage for some self-care.
Currently I am looking at the Houstonian’s “A moment away together” package as the main option. However, I was wondering what other redditors’ experience has been like there or at other places around town like the Post Oak, the Four Seasons or the Zaza.

So, my girlfriend is an employee at MD Anderson, but doesn’t understand their insurance that well.
Today she ended up having an emergency and we ended up visiting an urgent care emergency room, partly because she didn’t want to visit an actual hospital and partially, because we don’t understand how her insurance works, I heard they had free care, but where does she go for that?
The only thing she is familiar with is employee health but that closes at 4. Where is she supposed to go for more immediate things and stuff like that?
Anyhow, anyone that has experience working there as well that can share their experience or some tips on where to go next time or the best way to use her insurance, it would be deeply appreciated.

With my birthday coming up soon, I’m looking for something fun to do. Ideally I’d like to go out bowling on a Saturday, but I’m having a hard time deciding where, so I’m hoping to have some recommendations.
I looked up Del Mar and their unreal special looks fun, but I couldn’t find pricing anywhere on their site for bowling, nor beer prices, so I’m not too sure about it.
I also looked up AMF, but again, I was having a hard time finding pricing. I only got a reservation option for 2/2.5 hour blocks, but that was forcing me to add a $60 food credit and since I’m planning on doing something else for dinner, I’m not sure I want that.
So yeah, I’d also be down for other stuff, sort of alike in the sense that it can be a fun thing to do in a small group, like mini golf or pool. So please let me know about any recommendations that you guys may have and if you can add a general range for pricing, even better.

John Freeman Blvd and Bertner Ave were closed off right in front of Baylor by the fountain whenever I was there minutes ago, making for quite the annoying detour.
I couldn’t get too close to see what was going on, but there were police cars closing the road off on both sides and police directing traffic. I also saw a couple trucks near by, so now I’m left feeling curious with no information.

My GF is learning to drive, so far I have taken her to a few decent sized parking lots (like the one in the Galleria’s Best Buy after it closes) to get her used to the wheel and to turning in general.
Now I would like her to get to get more comfortable using the gas, so I’m hoping to find a bigger sized parking lot or find an area in town with low traffic, but I’m stumped for ideas, so I would really appreciate some ideas.
Thanks for the help.

I usually do my laundry at my dad’s since it’s “free” and because the washer and dryer at my apartment complex are pretty small and usually busy.
However now with everything that’s going on, I rather not visit my dad’s and possibly expose my grandparents who live with my dad.
So I’m hoping on recommendations for doing laundry around Montrose at a place that’s not too expensive. Thank you.
