I am really freaking out right now. After being unemployed for 2 months because of catching the COVID19, I was in and out of the hospital for nearly 45 days. I filed for unemployment and then never heard anything from them, then they denied my case because the employer was trying to get out of it saying that I stopped showing up to work. Anyways its so exhausting to even appeal for that. I ended up falling behind and eating into my savings just to make ends meet while I was hospitalized. I was lucky enough to get food stamps to feet my teenage son and my 10 year old. I finally got better and landed a job 3 days ago. Rent is due and thought they would be more understanding with my situation. I have $400 to my name and went over to the lease office and attempted to give it to them. Well now theres new management. They dont care about what happened. They wont even take my partial payment. I told them to please give me at least a week so I can get my first paycheck and give them the rest of the rent. They told me no, they only accept full payments now and that after the 3rd, they charge $10 for each day and on the 10th day they send out a 3 day eviction notice. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am freaking out here! Never have I experienced something like this before. I filed for help in several places but they tell me they are backed up and I probably won’t get a response in time. GOD PLEASE HELP ME! I just want to pay my rent and work so I don’t fall behind again. F U COVID! You put me behind on everything! 😭
