My current plan with Veteran Energy is set to expire in mid-August and I need to renew. I'll the be first to admit I have no experience with energy buying. I'm currently on a 36 month plan, here is my understanding:

*Tier 1 is 0-1000kWh is a flat $63.00 charge * Tier 2 is 1001+kWh at .20 per kWh

Most of the the time 7/12 months I'm below 1000kWh so my bill is a flat $63

5/12 months I'm above 1000kWh but I've never been above 1500+ and my bill is double around $120-$140

The new plan they offer for 36 months is double at every point, does this seem right? Any way to shop this?
