I'll admit, I was all aboard the Eric Bienemy train the second I heard about BoB's firing (truth-be-told, I hadn't watched a single game at that point, nor followed any off-season news as protest, so that was one of my first Texans-related thoughts in months). But after yesterday, and apparently, most games this season, I'm starting to think maybe a DC (or other defensive guy) would be better served as HC next off-season. Deshaun is Deshaun, and will continue to develop and be a star, no matter who's at the helm. Yes, a good playcaller/OC is important, and maybe we'll get one (maybe there's a QB coach out there who deserves a time to shine or something?). But for the big job, why not someone like Leslie Frazier (Bills DC) or Jim Schwartz (Eagles). I know they've had some rough times as HC in the past, so why not someone like Robert Saleh (49ers). Granted, I have seen some talk about Saleh, and he might even be the #1 choice in these parts, but I see A LOT about offensive-minded coaching hires too.
